Not sure where to start? With ethical behaviour a cornerstone of the accounting profession, we’ve collated a selection of LinkedIn Learning courses to help strengthen your ethical skill set.

1. Ethics in the Age of Generative AI

With 40% of firms globally now using advanced AI (including generative and agentic systems) for tax, accounting and audit research, understanding responsible use of AI is critical. This 45-minute course addresses key ethical concerns linked to generative AI and introduces a framework of ethical analysis. It also covers how to prepare technology teams to make ethical decisions, and clarifies the differing responsibilities of executives and boards in building ethical AI systems.

2. Ethical Decision Making in Business: Strategies for Success

In this half-hour course, attorney and law professor Ken Sterling provides practical guidelines on integrating ethics and corporate social responsibility into business strategy, while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.

3. Ethics Conversations: Building an Ethics-Based Culture

Research reveals that companies with the strongest ethical cultures outperform organisations with weak ethical cultures by about 50% across all measures of business performance. This two-and-a-half-hour course uses realistic boardroom scenarios and everyday workplace situations to demonstrate how regular, intentional conversations can clarify values, guide decisions and reinforce accountability – helping to build a stronger ethical culture.

4. Ethics: Managing Real or Perceived Conflicts of Interest

Conflict of interest is one of the most common causes of complaint to CA ANZ and NZICA disciplinary bodies. This 75-minute course explains how to identify potential conflicts early, respond appropriately and apply safeguards to manage or avoid them altogether.

5. Leadership Ethics

This one-hour course examines the growing importance of ethical leadership in today’s business environment. It discusses how leaders can promote ethical behaviour while navigating complex, real-world dilemmas. Learn how to strengthen your ethical framework, set clear expectations and apply practical strategies to foster an ethical culture.
