June/July ‘Acuity’ is out now

The June/July 2024 edition of ‘Acuity’ magazine is in letterboxes and online now.

Our cover story features Natalia Florez CA and Kieran Shirey, co-founders of Weavr software, which helps companies track and manage reconciliation action plans. As Florez explains, "[Weavr] helps organisations get value from their reconciliation and diversity and inclusion initiatives. It has to be more than a feel-good exercise."

Similarly, last year's member vote on changes to the CA ANZ by-laws and NZICA rules has led to a stronger professional conduct framework. New Zealand advocacy lead Peter Vial FCA and CA ANZ general council Vanessa Chapman explain what the changes mean for you and your firm.

CAs are also often well-placed to spot fraud in the companies they work with. We ask forensic accountants about the red flags to look for. And, if you're looking for practice management software to help get a better handle on financial data, this issue's tech guide outlines the many cloud-based choices available.

Then, are you dealing with a passive-aggressive colleague - or do you use passive aggression yourself? We find out what leads to this destructive workplace behaviour and how you can turn it around.

Read this and more in the June/July issue of Acuity.
