Grant has spent most of his career in senior finance roles for major listed corporates, recently retiring as Chief Financial Officer of Restaurant Brands NZ Limited. His work has been recognised by the investment community, being awarded the Deloitte CFO of the Year award in 2019.
Grant has served in a number of governance roles within CA ANZ. He became a Fellow of CA ANZ in 2015 and in 2022 was the recipient of its Meritorious Service Award.
Coming from a military family, Grant joined the NZ Army (Territorial Force) in 1976 and has served as both Commanding Officer and Honorary Colonel of the Auckland Battalion. With this interest in the military, Grant has also been President and is a Life Member of the Auckland Officers’ Club. He also currently serves as Chairman of the Ranfurly Veterans Trust Board.
Grant has always had an interest in the outdoors and is a graduate of the Outward Bound programme, still enjoying tramping, skiing and sailing as recreational pursuits.
