With you every step of the way
CA ANZ is with its members every step of the way during COVID-19.
In Brief
- As clients struggle with COVID-19, CAs and their skills as trusted advisers have never been more important.
- Questions posted through My CA have helped individuals draw on the collective knowledge of the membership.
- Given the support CAs have been providing to clients, remember to take a moment to check in with yourself.
With 2020 proving to be an extremely challenging year for so many people, members have been at the forefront of the economic recovery.
As your clients, businesses and communities turn to you to help them navigate the road ahead, your designation, education and skills as trusted advisers have never been more important.
So, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all that you are doing.
Thank you for rising to the challenge this global pandemic has created.
Tens of thousands of members have attended our COVID-19 Sharing Knowledge sessions and our dedicated COVID-19 resources hub is constantly being visited, demonstrating your strong commitment to helping businesses understand continually evolving government packages.
Thank you for forging new connections with your fellow peers.
Whether through My CA or virtual networking events, your questions and insights ensure others can draw on the collective knowledge of the membership and lets us know how we can work with policy makers to improve outcomes for your business, your clients and the wider community.
Thank you to our CAs of the future for your resilience.
After successfully moving the CA Program and exams online, more than 90% of our current candidates made the decision to continue their path to becoming a difference maker. This dedication and enthusiasm to progress, despite these difficult circumstances, shows us the future of our profession is in safe hands.
“This dedication and enthusiasm to progress, despite these difficult circumstances, shows us the future of our profession is in safe hands.”
And on the future, as you may already know, the board has appointed Ainslie van Onselen as chief executive officer of CA ANZ, following an extensive search.
Ainslie is a nimble thinker with an eye to the future, has a strong record of strategic thinking alongside a proven ability to be agile, and is a visible advocate for change for a public benefit.
Her membership-body mindset, future focus and digital acumen are invaluable to making a difference for the profession and I look forward to introducing her to members at our upcoming events.
Finally, I would like to ensure that you are aware we offer complimentary access to counselling support via our Employee Assistance Program for you and your families should you need it for your own mental health and wellbeing.
Given the unwavering support you have been providing to clients and businesses over the past few months in the face of new challenges, I encourage you to take
a moment to check in with yourself and ask if you are OK. We are here to support you every step of the way.
