About Suresh Sood

Suresh Sood, PhD is Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand's data scientist. 

Sood writes thought leadership articles, books and presents at conferences about shaping markets and conveying new ideas. Sood studied physics at London University and holds an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). At UTS, Soood has led Academic Programs Development, providing thought leadership in the development of the popular trans-disciplinary Master of Data Science and Innovation.

Sood's PhD delivers software algorithms to commercial clients (datafication.com.au) who wish to understand customer experiences through tracking human emotions during social media interactions with brands.

As senior vice president of Reuters Consulting /TIBCO Finance, Sood was instrumental in working with major financial institutions to help develop technology and execute strategy to implement e-commerce for trillions of dollars of foreign exchange. From pioneering work with Standard Chartered in Singapore and Hong Kong, Sood created over $1.2b of value in innovative new online services for foreign exchange and traded options across Australia, China, India, Singapore and Thailand.
