About Adam Creighton

Adam Creighton has been The Australian’s Economics Correspondent since 2012, having worked in London for The Economist in 2009.

He covers domestic and international economic news, and writes a column on economics and public policy every Friday.

In 2015 he won the Citi Journalism Award for Excellence. In 2001 he completed (in 3.5 years) a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce, in history and economics, at the University of Wollongong.

He started his career at the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, and in 2010 was a senior adviser to the then federal Leader of the Opposition, Tony Abbott.
